Here’s the perfect Christmas gift for the BTS fan in your life

Fujifilm Malaysia announces a collaboration with one of the biggest pop groups in the world—BTS. Together, they’ve created a super adorable yellow “Butter” edition of the Instax Mini 11.

In case you’re not that familiar with BTS (how???), they’re a seven-member South Korean group with numerous platinum-selling singles and albums and two Grammy nominations. Their song “Butter”, a popular summer song of 2021, was the inspiration for the collaboration with Instax.

The BTS Butter version of the camera will be like all other Mini 11 cameras. This means that its Automatic Exposure function will “automatically calculate” the brightness and will adjust its shutter speed accordingly. Another feature includes Selfie Mode, which you can toggle by pulling out the lens. You can even check your framing with a small mirror next to the lens.

The real difference is perhaps its bright yellow colour with a colourful bezel and matching shoulder strap. The look also includes shutter button accessories with a “Butter heart emblem”.

Also accompanying the launch of the Instax Mini 11 is BTS Butter version of Mini Instax Instant Film pack, which features a vivid yellow border full of the trademark BTS Butter heart insignia. The film pack will be available in single cartridges featuring 10 exposures each.

I don’t know if instant cameras have been getting more popular recently, but I have noticed a few young TikTok users showing off their own instant cameras—joining a few other old-school trends that are also coming back in fashion, like 90s inspired make-up. It can also serve as a fun camera to bring around during outings.

The BTS Butter version of the Instax Mini 11 instant camera will be available at a retail price of RM468—which is pretty expensive for an Instax Mini 11. A regular one would cost RM335 on Shopee. The BTS Butter version of the Mini Film pack costs RM41, while a regular one costs RM31. But, again, this is the BTS version of the Instax Mini 11—and well worth it especially if you’re thinking of getting one for the BTS fan in your life.

As for when you’re able to purchase them, the products are expected to be available for purchase in mid-December 2021. But you can have a closer look at it on their website.
