Nothing Ear (1) black earbuds now available for pre-sale in Malaysia

Nothing’s Ear (1) black edition is now officially available for pre-order and pre-sale in Malaysia. The company says there will be limited in-store drops as well as online partner drops.

If you need a refresher on these new black edition earbuds, it’s pretty much the same as the original Ear (1) design but with an all-black finish. Everything from the tips, the case, to the stem is black, which really lets the transparency and internals of the earbuds shine. Nothing assures us that everything else about them is the same, so there’s just an outer visual difference.

Specs-wise, the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds can get you four hours of audio playback with active noise cancelling (ANC) enabled. If you include the charging case, you can get up to 24 hours of playback. The case charges via USB-C and supports Qi wireless charging.

Nothing has also announced that the Ear (1) is now carbon neutral. They have accessed the product’s 1.78kg carbon footprint and neutralised it. On the packaging, you can now see a ‘carbon neutral’ symbol with the 1.78kg figure below it, which Nothing hopes will encourage more tech brands to add carbon transparency labelling to their products.

Nothing Ear (1) black edition: Pricing and availability

In Malaysia, the only partnered store with the Nothing Ear (1) black is Crossover. Before the official sales, Crossover Malaysia is holding a pre-sale of the Ear (1) black edition both online and in-store. You can head to Crossover’s website and pre-order it right now for RM499 or three payments of RM166.33 with Atome. The pre-order will be shipped out by the 15th of December.

If you don’t want to wait for shipping, you can try your luck at the limited drops in Crossover Sunway Pyramid and Crossover Mid Valley. It is available starting today, December 8th, and stock will be limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

If you’re having trouble locating the stores, Crossover Sunway Pyramid is located at F1-66 on the first floor, and the Mid Valley Crossover store is at T-025, Third Floor (South Court). Both of them open at 10am and close at 10pm.

The open sale for Ear (1) black edition will start at 12am Malaysian Time on 17 December on Nothing’s official Shopee store and authorised stores like SenQ, Harvew Normal, DirectD, and more.
