Oppo A95 is coming to Malaysia soon, here’s what to expect

Oppo Malaysia has started teasing the arrival of the Oppo A95 which looks like their new mid-range smartphone. Ahead of the launch, they have started its registration of interest and some of its key features have been revealed.

In terms of design, it looks like a typical smartphone from China that features a rectangular camera bump on the top left corner. Oppo says that the A95 will feature an “industry-first” Oppo Glow which offers a silky-smooth exterior while being fingerprint and wear-resistant. Spec-wise, Oppo has confirmed that it will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you need more RAM, the device supports the RAM Expansion feature that allows you to add an additional 5GB of virtual RAM.

Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. According to Oppo, a 30-minute charge on the cable can charge the device up to 54%.

At the moment, Oppo has not revealed the pricing or launch date for the Oppo A95 and it isn’t clear if the phone will support 5G. In China, there’s the Oppo A95 5G which runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 800U but it comes with a smaller 4,310mAh battery.

According to 91Mobiles, there’s an Oppo A95 4G version that was spotted on Geekbench which suggested that the device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 610 GPU. We are guessing that the A95 4G could be the replacement of the Oppo A93 that was launched last year. As a comparison, the A93 is priced at RM1,299 and it ran on a MediaTek Helio P95 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
