Realme Malaysia has introduced the GT Neo 2 which is their new flagship-class smartphone. It features a 120Hz AMOLED display and it runs on a Snapdragon 870 5G chip. This is a step up from the Realme GT Master Edition that was introduced in September.
The Realme GT Neo 2 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is officially priced at RM2,099 in Malaysia. During its first-day sale at 12am on 11th November, you can get it for RM1,999 on Lazada and Shopee. The phone comes in two colours – Neo Blue and Neo Green.
The Realme GT Neo 2 comes with a 6.62″ Full HD+ (2400×1080) AMOLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip which supports 5G.
The device features a camera bump that looks similar to the OnePlus 9 series. It has a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 4MP macro camera. Upfront, it gets a 16MP selfie camera that sits in a tiny punch-hole on the top left corner of the screen.
The Realme GT Neo 2 also gets a pair of stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Powering the device is a generous 5,000mAh battery and it supports 65W SuperDart Charge via USB-C. According to Realme, you can get a 100% charge in less than 36 minutes.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 skin on top. For maximum performance for gaming, the device gets a GT Mode 2.0 which optimises the phone for the best CPU performance and touch sampling rate. Also included is dual-frequency GPS, an in-display fingerprint sensor and NFC support.
