Digi users around the country have been reporting issues with their mobile network connection for a few days now. It’s gotten so bad that Digi has even hid all of their posts on Facebook for users logged in on web browser except one from yesterday explaining the issue. That hasn’t stopped people complaining though, with over ten thousand comments in the comment section.
It is understood that the issue is predominantly affecting their postpaid users and has been going on since the 26th of October. An updated statement from Digi today says that they’re sorry for the internet troubles users are experiencing, and they’ve been progressively working on resolving these issues. Digi also says that they’ve rolled out fixes for a majority of their customers since 7am today, with further fixes in progress.
Digi’s latest statement also has a fix for those who are still experiencing internet issues. If you’re still having connectivity trouble, Digi asks that you try to restart your device to get reconnected to their network. Alternatively, they also say you can try to reconnect by turning on airplane mode, waiting for 5 seconds and then turning off airplane mode.
Furthermore, Digi users may be seeing an unknown internet quota bucket name when checking your internet usage via *128# or the MyDigi App. According to Digi, there is no need to worry as it’s a temporary measure by them to ensure that your internet experience is not affected during their routine system maintenance. They also assure users that they won’t be any extra charges to your account.
Lastly, a number of Digi services remain down or have intermittent issues, including the MyDigi App, prepaid reloads via KK Mart and 7Eleven, and postpaid bill payment via Maybank2U. In the meantime, users can manage their Digi account with either the MyDigi website, or by dialing *128#.
Users looking to reload their prepaid account can either do so with a physical reload card, reloading via eWallet or online banking, or by visiting a Digi self service kiosk. Meanwhile, postpaid users can pay their bills either with JomPay, the Touch’n Go eWallet app or with the Digi self service kiosk.
