MagicBook 15 with Ryzen 5 5500U

The newly arrived MagicBook 15 (AMD) is essentially the larger version of the MagicBook 14 (AMD) that was introduced last week. It comes with a 15.6″ Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display and it runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor. Honor Malaysia is offering a single-spec option with 8GB LPDDR4 3200MHz RAM and 256GB of PCIe SSD.

The design remains unchanged from the previous MagicBook series and it has a sleek metal slab design with blue chamfer around the lid. It also gets a hidden 1MP (HD 720p) webcam that sits on the top row of the keyboard and a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor.

The laptop supports Bluetooth 5.0 as well as 802.11ax WiFi 6 with 2×2 MIMO. If you have a compatible Honor smartphone, it supports multi-screen collaboration via MagicLink. In terms of ports, it has a USB-C port that supports 65W fast charging, two USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0) ports, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Overall, it weighs 1.56kg and has a thickness of 16.9mm.

Powering the laptop is a 56Wh battery which is rated to last 11.5 hours of video playback. With the provided 65W USB-C charger, Honor says you can get a 65% charge in one hour. Out of the box, it runs on Microsoft Windows 10 Home.

To secure the RM2,499 promo price, you can place a RM250 deposit from 5th to 9th October 2021 and pay the balance on 10th October. The MagicBook 15 (AMD) price will increase to RM2,699 after the 10.10 sale.
