The Xiaomi 11T series was announced globally last week and the new flagship duo is coming to Malaysia very soon. The new devices pack a 120Hz AMOLED display, a large 5,000mAh battery and are powered by either a Qualcomm or MediaTek flagship chip.

The official Malaysian pricing and availability details for the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro will be revealed during the online live stream event. You can watch it at 8pm local time on Thursday, 23rd September 2021 via the Xiaomi Malaysia Facebook page as well as their YouTube Channel.

Xiaomi 11T

To recap, the Xiaomi 11T features a 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it gets a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Ultra chip paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage which isn’t expandable.

For taking pictures, the rear gets a triple-camera setup consisting of a 108MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and 5MP telemacro shooter. For selfies, the device is equipped with a 16MP front camera that sits on a tiny punch-hole.

Despite having an AMOLED screen, it uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display unit. It also gets stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Powering the device is a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging via USB-C. A full charge takes about 36 minutes.

Xiaomi 11T Pro

The Xiaomi 11T Pro looks identical to the standard model but it has a couple of notable changes. Instead of a MediaTek processor, the Pro version runs on a 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor mated which can be configured up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. You also have the option of 128GB or 256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage.

The display and camera setup remain unchanged, while the dual-speaker setup on the Pro is enhanced by Harman Kardon. However, the 11T Pro supports a faster 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge which can go from 0-100% in just 17 minutes. The 120W power adapter is also included in the box.

In Europe, the Xiaomi 11T is officially priced from EUR499 (about RM2,449) while the 11T Pro starts from EUR649 (about RM3,185). The local Malaysian pricing is expected to be significantly cheaper so stay tuned to us for the local details. Besides the two phones, Xiaomi Malaysia is expected to announce more devices including the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet.
