This is followed by Sabah with 2,310 cases, Johor with 2,265 cases, Kedah with 2,084 cases and Sarawak with 2,028 cases.

97.9% of cases today are category 1 and 2 where infected individuals exhibit little or no symptoms. Out of 19,268 cases today, 14,664 (76%) were not fully vaccinated.

As vaccination rates continue to rise, the Klang Valley is showing positive signs with a reduction of ICU cases in several hospitals. Health D-G Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has shared that there are fewer category 4 and 5 cases at Sungai Buloh Hospital and he has urged everyone to get fully vaccinated to reduce the risk of severe COVID-19.

According to the chart from the CPRC Sungai Buloh Hospital, the number of Cat 4 & 5 admissions for the 40-59 years old group has dropped nearly by half from Week 33 to 34. The significant decline is also visible for the 20-39 years old group.
