Philips Malaysia is bundling an Xbox Series X for free when you buy the 55″ Momentum monitor

Microsoft may not be officially bringing the Xbox Series X console to Malaysia anytime soon, but that isn’t stopping Philips Malaysia from launching the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV monitor here. It’s the world’s first monitor designed specifically for the Xbox, and for a limited time Philips is bundling an Xbox Series X with it.

The Philips Momentum 559M1RYV is a 55-inch VA display that has a 4K resolution. Coupled with a response time of 4ms, Philips have made this monitor in partnership with the Xbox team and so officially has ‘Designed for Xbox’ validation. With 3x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x USB-C port, it’s able to deliver up to a 144Hz refresh rate. There’s Philips Ambiglow too, that adds RGB lighting on the rear which matches whatever’s on the display.

Other specs include a 125% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut, a 4000:1 contrast ratio and a Delta E of < 2. It also has DisplayHDR 1000 certification, with a brightness of up to 1200nits in HDR Mode. This means that the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV is able to deliver extremely dark blacks against bright whites in HDR mode. It also has AMD FreeSync Premium as an extra bonus for gamers. And for audio, it packs an integrated Bowers & Wilkins 2.1 speakers that have DTS sound enhancement too.

If you’re interested, you’ll have to be prepared to fork out quite a bit, as the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV costs RM 6,299. The monitor with the bundled Xbox Series X is currently on sale in Philips’ Lazada Store, with the console itself being a Japanese set. You’ll want to be quick though, as the bundle promo ends on the 21st of August.

For more information on the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV, you can check out its product page on the Philips Malaysia website.
