How the Xiaomi’s Home Security cameras can help you protect your home

This post was brought to you by Xiaomi

Xiaomi has recently been named the global leader in the smartphone industry, but they have a variety of products that aren’t talked about often and are still consistent with their streak of quality and value. Meet the Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K and Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K Pro: Xiaomi’s answer to your home security needs.

Mi 360º Home Security Camera 2K

This is their base model, but it still has a 2K resolution camera that allows you to zoom into objects and capture every detail. The camera it comes with is fitted with an f/1.4 aperture lens with Enhanced Color Night Vision and helps you monitor your home in low-light conditions.

Its design features a cute spherical camera on a smooth white base. Only being less than 8cm wide, its neutral look can blend into the room with no issue.

The Mi 360º Home Security Camera 2K also comes with a new AI human detection algorithm that uses deep-learning to filter false alarms. It can tell if someone is actually moving around your home or if it’s just the wind messing with the camera. The head also has motors that can rotate 360º horizontally and 108º vertically to give you a full view of your home.

You also get free seven-day rolling cloud storage, meaning you can view the motion-triggered video clips up to a week after they were recorded.

To install, you can place it on a table or even attach it to the ceiling or a wall to be more inconspicuous.

Mi 360° Security Camera 2K Pro

If you want even more features, you should get the Mi 360° Security Camera 2K Pro. With a 3MP camera, it can also take clear 2K security footage of your home.

The design of this model is more bold, but still keeps the sleek white look of the base model. It’s a little taller and looks more stable, with a cylindrical body. It shares the same width as the other model, so it can also blend into its surroundings very easily.

The Pro version has everything the base 2K version has. This includes having the same f/1.4 aperture lens, having AI human detection to prevent false alarms, and Enhanced Color Night Vision for crisp low-light footage. Adding to this, it also has some additional features that make it more reliable.

The Mi 360° Security Camera 2K Pro comes with a digital shield function. This allows users to physically rotate the camera lens downward via the Mi Home app when you don’t want camera monitoring enabled. This is to make you feel extra safe and private when you need to.

Another great feature is the dual-microphone noise reduction, which makes two-way voice calling through the camera much clearer. To enhance your call experience, it effectively reduces speaker echo with the information gathered from both microphones.

This pro version also supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz dual-band WiFi so you can get a combination of both speed and stability in your connection and with no lag.

Finally, the Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K Pro features a Bluetooth gateway. This allows you to connect to other Xiaomi smart devices or view device data right from your Mi Home app.

Both devices support expandable memory in the form of an SD card up to 32GB. They also both have two-way voice call features, so you can chat with your family members wherever you are.

Both of these products have Kitemark Certifications for the Xiaomi Home app and the products themselves, so you can rest assured that Xiaomi is taking the best cybersecurity practices for your data’s safety.

You can get the Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K for just RM189 on Shopee and Lazada.

You can also get the Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K Pro for just RM219 on Shopee and Lazada.
