Take part in Xiaomi’s virtual POP Run 2021 and stand to win a Mi 11 smartphone

Xiaomi brings its first ever Mi POP Run 2021 to Malaysia and is a virtual run open to anyone. To take part in the virtual run, you’ll need a Mi Account, and a Xiaomi wearable. Any wearable such as the Mi Watch Lite , Mi Smart Band 4 or even the Mi Smart Band 6 will do.

Upon registration, the number of steps that you take will be collected via the activity tracker on your Mi Band or Mi Watch. The goal here is to take as much as steps or run as much as you can to be in the running to win Xiaomi prizes. Participants will also be able to track their number of steps as well as their rankings which is updated on the event page.

There are three categories for rankings, which include overall rankings, weekly rankings and regional rankings.

Overall rankings

The top 3 overall winners will be each awarded with a Mi 11 smartphone worth RM2,999, a Mi Watch worth RM469, a Mi Smart Band 6 worth RM189, and a Xiaomi POP Run gift pack worth RM199.

Overall winners who come in between the 4th to 30th place will get a Mi Smart Band 6 and a custom Xiaomi POP Run gift bag, while the the individuals that rank between 31 to 300 will receive a digital medal.

Weekly rankings

Each week, the top 3 winners will each receive a Mi 11 smartphone worth RM2,999, a Mi Watch worth RM469, a Mi Smart Band 6 worth RM189, and a Xiaomi POP Run goodie bag worth about RM200.

On the other hand, individuals with rankings from 4 to 10 get a Mi Smart Band 6 and a custom Xiaomi POP Run gift bag, while digital medals will be awarded to participants that rank between number 11 to 100.

These are the start and end times for each week:

  • Week 1: August 4, 12:01PM to August 10, 11:59PM
  • Week 2: August 11, 12:01PM to August 17, 11:59PM
  • Week 3: August 18, 12:01PM to August 24, 11:59PM

Regional rankings

The leaderboard will display the overall Top 10 countries with the highest daily and weekly rankings, but prizes are awarded based on the overall rankings for countries.

The Top 10 countries are determined by calculating the average number of steps taken by all users from each country. There needs to be at least 10 participants in a country to qualify for a ranking. The number one participant from each Top 10 country will each win a Mi Watch, a Mi Smart Band 6 and a Mi POP Run goodie bag.

For the entire duration of the run, users who manage to complete 200,000 steps will be able to redeem a Xiaomi finisher pack containing a medal, a Mi Composition Scale 2, a Mi POP Run face mask and a RM30 Lazada Mi Store voucher while stocks last.

Until August 24, you will be able to purchase a Mi Smart Band 6 for RM169, a Mi Watch for RM429 and a Mi Watch Lite for RM219.
