HUAWEI’s best value laptop in 2021, HUAWEI MateBook D14 & MateBook 14 R5

This post is brought to you by HUAWEI.

Looking for a powerful laptop with great value? Let’s have a look at the two Huawei laptops that just launched a few days ago: the MateBook D14 and MateBook 14.

HUAWEI MateBook D14

Out of the two, the MateBook D14 is the budget choice and makes a lot of sense for students who have to study at home or even remote workers as this is one of Huawei’s best value laptops in 2021.

It has a large 56Wh battery with up to 10 hours of battery life, so you can use it for a long period of time. The 65W charger it comes with is a rapid compact charger that is even smaller than your mobile phone.

While it doesn’t have the most powerful CPU, it’ll be just fine for most students or office workers who need something good enough for normal daily use.

The MateBook D14 has a solid IPS HUAWEI FullView Display that provides an ultra-wide view for an immersive visual experience when reading material and watching videos. The 16:9 screen allows for you to wind down off work with great content consumption.

One of the most interesting and unique design features on these HUAWEI laptops is the camera. As it sits on the keyboard, the recessed webcam allows for better security and makes space for even thinner bezels.

The dual mic setup also allows for more precise voice pickup during calls, especially as more people work and study at a home that might be a little noisy.

Finally, the MateBook D14 has a sleek metallic body for that professional look while still keeping itself light and portable.

HUAWEI MateBook 14 R5

If you need more power though, the MateBook 14 with an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H would be more up your alley.

The processor makes it one of the more powerful options out there while maintaining its portable thin-and-light form factor.

Heat is not a problem thanks to the dual fan shark-fin heat dissipation system, so you’ll never worry about thermal throttling in everyday tasks. It’s also powered by a big 56Wh battery and a fast 65W charger.

The MateBook 14 R5 comes with the ability to use swipe gestures for a quick screenshot of your screen. Just swipe down with three fingers and select your screenshot options!

If you’re looking for a sleek portable machine with a lot more oomph, the MateBook 14 R5 is a contender.

Multi screen collaboration

Both the MateBook D14 and 14 support multi screen collaboration, where users can project their HUAWEI smartphone screen onto the laptops wirelessly and transfer files easily between the two devices, giving a more productive working experience or to pick up phone calls on the laptop so that users will not miss any call when focusing on working or studying.

Apart from that, HUAWEI has breakthrough technology which allows the connection between tablets and PCs, which includes the 2 models that I introduced today.

If you’re a student or a remote worker, the MateBook D14 is the best choice for you as it’s affordable, has great value with specs for normal daily use, and has a lot of screen real estate

If you’re a content creator or play more games, you should invest in the MateBook 14 R5, as it’s great in value, well-powered for the usage, and still has a sleek design.

Both of these laptops are online exclusive, so you can pre-order them from the HUAWEI Online Store, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, and HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada.

The HUAWEI MateBook D14 is available to pre-order for a special price of RM2299.00 and with freebies worth up to RM398 including a HUAWEI Backpack and HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse.

You can also purchase the HUAWEI MateBook 14 R5 2021 during the pre-order period at the special price of RM3899, would also be entitled for freebies worth up to RM667 which includes the HUAWEI Backpack, HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse and one year subscription of Microsoft 365.

This pre-order period ends on the 8th of August and the gifts are available while stock lasts.

So, tell us what you think! Would you rather get the MateBook D14 or the 14 R5? Let us know!
