COVID-19: 13,034 new cases and 134 deaths today

Malaysia has recorded 13,034 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 964,918. There are 134 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 7,574.

The Ministry of Health has reported 8,436 new recoveries and a total of 815,293 patients have recovered and been discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 84.49% while the mortality rate is now 0.79%.

Out of the 13,034 new cases ported today, 25 are imported while 13,009 are transmitted locally. There are currently 142,051 active cases remaining that are receiving treatment. 938 cases are in ICU while 459 require ventilation support.

Selangor recorded the most with 6,049 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1,611 cases, Johor with 791 cases and Negeri Sembilan with 711 cases.
