Honor has already previously confirmed that the Honor 50 lineup is coming, and that at least one model of it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Now, the recently-independent Honor have unveiled on their Weibo that the Honor 50 series ill be unveiled on June 16.
It doesn’t go into a lot of detail about the specs of the upcoming devices, but it does give a very quick glimpse of the dual-ring camera that’s set to be in it. This comes on top of a recent tweet by Honor Germany hinting at the inclusion of Google Mobile Services too – the first time a Honor device would have GMS included since the 2019 US sanctions imposed on Huawei, their former parent company.
While it’s believed that the base model will have the Snapdragon 778G, an alleged Honor 50 Pro recently appeared on a benchmark database, with the specs reported to include a Snapdragon 888, a 4400mAh battery, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Pro variant may also come with a primary 50MP sensor, a 13MP ultrawide, a 8MP telephoto along with a 3D time-of-flight LIDAR sensor. Other recent leaks have also suggested a ‘lite’ variant called the Honor 50 SE.
