OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro: Malaysian pricing revealed

The OnePlus 9 series is launching in Malaysia tomorrow. Ahead of its local announcement, we now know its official OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro pricing for the Malaysian market.

At the time of writing, the device pricing is already revealed on the official OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro product pages. The OnePlus 9 with a 6.55″ Full HD+ display is priced at RM3,699 while the higher-spec Pro model with a 6.7″ Quad HD+ screen is listed at RM4,299.

Unfortunately, it isn’t clear which RAM and storage configuration will be available. According to the spec sheet, both models can be configured with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. From what we see at the moment, the OnePlus 9 series costs significantly more than the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 series.

In terms of colours, the standard 9 is offered in Arctic Sky, Astral Black and Winter Mist. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 9 Pro is offered in Pine Green, Stellar Black and Morning Mist. The full details will be revealed tomorrow at 12.00pm on their official Facebook page.

The OnePlus 9 series feature an AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and both are running on Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 888 processor. It also features Hasselblad co-developed cameras that feature a 48MP main shooter (Sony IMX689 for OnePlus 9, IMX789 for OnePlus 9 Pro), 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For the Pro model, you also get an additional 8MP telephoto camera.

Powering the devices is a large 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging via USB-C and there’s also support for wireless charging (15W for OnePlus 9 and 50W for OnePlus 9 Pro). You can learn more in our announcement post.
