Samsung Galaxy A52 5G with 120Hz screen and Snapdragon 750 now available in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia has announced the arrival of the 5G variant of the Galaxy A52. Apart from supporting faster 5G connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G gets a more fluid 120Hz display and a newer Snapdragon 750G chip that supports 5G.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is officially priced at RM1,899 in Malaysia. That’s RM400 more than the LTE version and it costs the same as the Galaxy A72 LTE. Here’s the recap of the new Galaxy A series pricing:

  • Samsung Galaxy A32 (LTE) 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,099
  • Samsung Galaxy A32 (5G) 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,199
  • Samsung Galaxy A52 (LTE) 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM1,499
  • Samsung Galaxy A52 (5G) 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM1,899
  • Samsung Galaxy A72 (LTE) 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM1,899

It also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, and it’s available in 4 colours – Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black an Awesome White. The device is available starting today, 30th April 2021 at Samsung Experience Stores, authorised dealers, Samsung onlne store.

Hardware Specs

The Galaxy A52 5G comes with a 6.5″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that pushes 120Hz refresh rate and it gets an on-screen fingerprint sensor. As mentioned earlier, it runs on a Snapdragon 750 5G that’s mated to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage which is also expandable via microSD card.

For taking pictures, the rear gets a quad-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, 5MP depth camera and a 5MP macro shooter. The punch-hole on the screen houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

Powering the device is a large 4,500mAh that supports 25W fast charging via USB-C. It also features stereo speakers and IP67 rated dust and water resistance. It supports sub-6GHz 5G networks and it also gets NFC.
