COVID-19: 3,788 new cases and 14 deaths today, Selangor records 1,265 new cases

Malaysia has recorded 3,788 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 408,713. There are 14 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,506.

The Ministry of Health has reported 2,640 new recoveries and a total of 377,980 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 92.48% while the mortality rate remains at 0.37%.

There are currently 29,227 active cases remaining that are receiving treatment. 328 are in ICU while 161 require respiratory support.

Out of the 3,788 new cases today, 2 are imported while 3,786 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 1,265 cases, followed by Sarawak with 760 cases, Kelantan with 464 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 255 cases.
