The newly announced Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is the latest gaming smartphone from Xiaomi that comes with physical shoulder triggers. If you’re looking for something extra special, Xiaomi has also introduced a Bruce Lee special edition which is limited to 4,000 units.
The Bruce Lee Special Edition of the Redmi K40 Gaming shares the similar hardware as the normal variants but it is only offered with a top-of-the-line 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. In China, the standard models with the same RAM and storage configuration is going for CNY 2,699 (about RM1,707) but the Redmi K40 Gaming Bruce Lee Special Edition costs slightly more at CNY 2,799 (about RM1,771).
Apart from having a striking black and yellow colour scheme, you also get additional labels at the rear which reads “BRUCE LEE – KING OF KUNG FU” and “KO – FAST COMES FIRST”. The retail box also gets a Bruce Lee themed bumper, a postcard and what appears to be pre-installed Bruce Lee skins.
To recap, the Redmi K40 Gaming features a 6.67″ 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display and it runs on a flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. The key highlight is its pair of pop-up shoulder triggers and dual-stereo speakers tuned by JBL Audio.
For imaging, it gets a triple-camera setup with a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro shooter. The centre-aligned punch-hole houses a 16MP selfie shooter. Keeping the lights on is a 5,065mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging via USB-C and Xiaomi has included an L-type USB-C cable. You can learn more about the K40 Gaming specs and features here.
