Oppo Reno 5 F Malaysia: Everything you need to know

Oppo has officially announced the Reno 5 F, the latest addition to the Oppo Reno 5 series. This is their new mid-range offering without 5G and it comes in a slim 7.8mm body.

Pricing and availability

The Oppo Reno 5 F with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is officially priced at RM1,199 in Malaysia. The device is offered in Fluid Back and Fantastic Purple. If you’re interested, you can purchase the device online via the Oppo official online store, Lazada and Shopee.

As an introductory offer, Reno 5 F buyers can redeem GSC Movie Ticket and Popcorn Combo via the My Oppo app. Existing My Oppo app members can also redeem a promo code to enjoy a RM100 discount for the device.

As a comparison, the 5G-supported Reno 5 and Reno 5 Pro are priced at RM1,899 and RM2,599 respectively.

Hardware Specs

The Reno 5 F comes with a 6.43″ Full HD+ AMOLED display and it runs on a MediaTek Helio P95 processor. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card.

For taking pictures, the device has a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP mono camera. The punch-hole on the top-left corner of the display houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

The device gets a 4,310mAh battery and it supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 charging via USB-C. The device still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Out of the box, the Reno 5 F runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
