COVID-19: 1,300 new cases today, Sarawak recorded the most with 385 cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,300 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 353,329. There are 5 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,300.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,412 new recoveries and a total of 337,868 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.62% while the mortality rate is now 0.37%.

There are currently 14,161 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 189 are in ICU while 88 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,300 new cases today, 24 are imported while 1,276 are transmitted locally. Sarawak recorded the most with 385 new cases, followed by Selangor with 242 new cases, Kelantan with 126 cases and Sabah with 112 cases.

The Ministry of Health has identified 10 new clusters and half are workplace related. Below is the list of newly identified clusters:

A total of 62 clusters have recorded new cases today. The Tembok Sri Aman cluster recorded the most with 128 cases, followed by Jalan Pelabuhan cluster with 50 cases and Jalan Mega Industri cluster with 20 cases.
