The solar-powered Garmin Enduro goes on sale in Malaysia for under RM4,000

If you’re in the market for a smartwatch to accompany you on those long, long hikes, this might be the one for you. Following the global launch in February, the Garmin Enduro has just been launched in Malaysia, and as previously covered, this smartwatch boasts an incredible battery life of up to 65 days—although this involves using the basic smartwatch mode.

Price and availability

The Enduro is now available in Malaysia, and you’ll be able to order it on Lazada, Shopee, the AECO e-store, and all authorised retailers nationwide. Pricing is set at RM3,699, and according to the product listing, you’ll also get a free gift while stocks last. The variant in Malaysia uses a stainless steel watch case; the titanium version does not appear to be available here.

Garmin Enduro specs

The Enduro is, essentially, built on the Garmin Fenix 6 platform—although it comes with a number of runner-focus upgrades, as well as Garmin’s latest solar charging technology. Meanwhile, this comes with a transflective LCD display pushing a resolution of 280×280 pixels. If you’re used to OLED displays (such as the one found on the Apple Watch), do note that this is a markedly different type of viewing experience.

The glass face is actually Power Glass, which is the lens material used on Garmin’s solar-powered models. This solar power supplements the watch’s battery life, with Garmin promising up to 65 days of battery life on a single charge. Meanwhile, in Max Battery GPS mode, you should have up to 300 hours on a single charge.

Garmin has also improved some of the metrics on the watch, including those that have been designed with runners and athletes in mind. For example, the new trail-run VO2 Max metric now comes with data on your “enhanced recovery time”, while Garmin has also added an ultrarun activity mode with a rest timer for accurate distance running tracking.

Plus, of course, the Garmin Enduro also gives you access to the company’s range of fitness and health features, such as the ClimbPro feature, as well as mountain biking-focused metrics that can estimate the difficulty of trails. Other features include PulseOx blood oxygen saturation, abnormal heart rate alerts, and the Body Battery feature.
