Oppo has announced the Find X3 Pro for the Malaysian market! We covered the global launch earlier (read that here), and putting aside flagship specs and the like, the most unique thing about the Find X3 Pro is its microlens—which offers microscope-like magnification. It’s amazing, really, and you should watch our (genuine) first-time reactions here.
But we all know what you’re all here for. Here’s everything you need to know about the Oppo Find X3 Pro 5G in Malaysia!
Oppo Malaysia has confirmed that the pre-order period for the Find X3 Pro will start from the 25th of March 2021 (today) up till the 8th of April 2021—with free gifts worth up to RM1,935 available. These include the Oppo Enco X earbuds, wireless charger, a Kevlar phone case, 1-year extended warranty, 1-year screen damage protection, and 1-year HeyTap cloud service with free 1TB of storage.
This only applies while stocks last, and the pre-order promo is only available at 15 select Oppo Spaces, Oppo Brand Stores, Oppo Official Online Stores, telco partners, and authorised retailers. For more information on this, click here for Oppo Malaysia’s Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Find X3 Pro is available in two colour options: Gloss Black and Blue, with official sales to begin on the 9th of April 2021. Official pricing in Malaysia is as follows:
Oppo Find X3 Pro 5G – 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM4,299
Something else that Oppo announced during the event was the Oppo Premium Service, which offers warranty coverage across international borders (as long as Oppo has a presence in the region). This somewhat similar to Apple’s warranty policy, and it’s certainly a welcome development from Oppo. All Find X3 Pro users will also have a dedicated hotline now: 1800 817 666.
Key specs for the Find X3 Pro include a Snapdragon 888 under the hood, 5G and WiFi 6 support, IP68 water and dust resistance, as well as a 4,500mAh battery to sustain the device. This can be charged at up to 65W via Oppo’s proprietary SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging tech, while wireless charging speeds of up to 30W is supported with a compatible AirVOOC charger. Reverse charging, meanwhile, is available at up to 10W.
Moving onto the cameras, you’re looking at a 50MP wide-angle shooter using an IMX766 sensor (f/1.8), a 50MP ultra-wide shooter (IMX766), and a 13MP telephoto camera which offers up to 5x Hybrid Optical Zoom. The star of the show, as I alluded to above, is the 3MP microlens, which offers magnification of up to 60x. It’s incredible, and you need to see it for yourself.
Something else that Oppo has talked a lot about is the “True Billion Colour Display”, which is based on the Full-path 10-bit Colour Management System. This is supposed to offer the best colour reproduction on any smartphone out there, Oppo claims. Technical specs for the display include a 6.7″ curved screen with a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Oh, and HDR10+ is supported as well.
And yes, this will ship with Android 11 out of the box (ColorOS 11.2). For the full breakdown, click here to read the global announcement post.
