COVID-19: 1,268 new cases and 2 deaths today, 490 cases reported in Selangor

Malaysia has recorded 1,268 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 336,808. There are 2 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,246.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,083 new recoveries and a total of 320,925 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.28% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.

There are currently 14,637 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 161 are in ICU while 73 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,268 new cases today, 5 are imported while 1,263 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 490 cases, followed by Sarawak with 141 cases, Johor with 135 cases and Pulau Pinang with 99 cases.
