Vivo Malaysia has unveiled its new X60 series smartphones which are aimed at taking its photography game up a notch. The X60 and X60 Pro are Vivo’s first smartphones to feature a camera system that’s co-engineered with Zeiss.

Pricing and availability

Below is the official Malaysian pricing for the Vivo X60 series in Malaysia:

Vivo X60 5G – 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM2,699
Vivo X60 Pro 5G – 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM3,299

Both devices are available in Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue. Pre-order is now available starting from 22nd until 26th March 2021. If you get it via Vivo concept stores, you’ll get Protection Plus which comes with 1-year extended warranty and 1-year screen crack protection for both models. In addition, the X60 also comes with a phone case and thumb drive, while the Pro model gets a travel luggage.

If you pre-order from Lazada and Shopee, you’ll also receive the Protection Plus package (1-year extended warranty + 1-year screen crack protection) for the X60. For the X60, you’ll also get the X60 Premium Gift Box (Phone case + thumb drive) with an X8 smartwatch. Meanwhile, the X60 Pro on both Lazada and Shopee are offered with an X8 smartwatch and a luggage.

Hardware Specs

The X60 and X60 Pro models are very similar except for some feature differences. Both devices get a 6.56″ AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. However, the standard model gets a flat display while the Pro uses a dual-curved screen. Both are running on a Snapdragon 870 processor and comes with 12GB RAM along with 256GB of storage.

In the photography department, the X60 feature a 48MP main camera with OIS, 13MP Ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13MP portrait camera that offers 2x optical zoom. The more premium X60 Pro also gets a 48MP main camera but it uses the sophisticated gimbal-like stabilisation system for steadier shots. It also retains a 13MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Both models also feature a 32MP selfie shooter.

Interestingly, the battery for the X60 is slightly bigger at 4,300mAh, while the Pro model gets a smaller 4,200mAh capacity. The two X60 models support 33W Flash Charge via USB-C. The X60 series run on FunTouch OS 11.1 out of the box which is based on Android 11.
