After going nuts with the signature salted peanuts, Malaysia Airlines will soon offer its famous MH Signature Satay for online delivery. The airline has posted a teaser video showing online comments of people asking them to sell the Satay.

If you’ve been missing it during the year long movement control order, you can soon satisfy your cravings by having it delivered to your doorstep. So far Malaysia Airlines hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability but fans are told to stay tuned on their Facebook page for the official launch date.

Malaysia Airlines has been serving Satay which is available in both beef and chicken typically on its long-haul flights for First and Business Class passengers. Months before the pandemic, the Satay was also offered to Economy Class passengers on selected long-haul flights as an add-on meal option that you can purchase at least 72 hours before your flight.

MH’s Signature Satay is internationally recognised and it’s served with spicy peanut sauce. As reported by Executive Traveller in 2017, the dish is prepared by Brahim’s Airline Catering and they make as many as 26,000 sticks daily with 200 litres of rich peanut sauce. Both beef and chicken cuts are marinated in a mix of shallots, turmeric, garlic, lemongrass and galangal. The skewered meats are cooked on a open charcoal grill followed by quick freezing at 5 degrees Celsius before it is loaded onto the flight.
