If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop, Acer has just revealed the Nitro 5 gaming laptop which features the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. As a pre-order promo, Acer Malaysia is offering the laptop (AN515-55-79VX) with a hefty RM500 discount, which brings the price down just under RM5,000.
The Acer Nitro 5 pre-order is running from today, 15th until 17th March 2021 on the official Acer Online store on Shopee Mall. It retails for RM5,499 but you can pre-order now for only RM4,999.
On top of that, you’ll also receive additional freebies which include McAfee Live Safe (3 years) and a Predator Urban backpack. The Nitro 5 is covered by a 2-year local manufacturer warranty.
The new Acer Nitro 5 variant comes with a 15.6″ 144Hz IPS display that pushes Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and it runs on a 6-core Intel Core i7-10750H processor. The gaming laptop is configured with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of PCEe NVMe SSD. The biggest highlight of course, is the GeForce GTX 3060 graphics with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
In terms of wireless connectivity, it supports 802.11ax WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It also comes with 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, HDMI 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 57.5Wh Li-Ion battery is rated to provide up to 9 hours of usage on a single charge and it weighs 2.3kg. Out of the box, it runs on Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
If you’re looking for another alternative, the Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-55-74JF) with an 8-core Intel Core i7-10870H processor and a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is currently priced at RM4,899. Meanwhile, the (AN515-55-72X3) version that’s configured with the GTX 1650 Ti is priced at RM4,599.
