COVID-19: 1,575 new cases today, 94.31% of total positive cases have recovered

Malaysia has recorded 1,575 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 320,939. There are 3 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,203.

The Ministry of Health has reported 2,042 new recoveries and a total of 302,662 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 94.31% while the mortality rate is now at 0.37%.

There are currently 17,074 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 147 are in ICU while 67 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,575 new cases today, 7 are imported while 1,568 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 751 new cases, followed by Sarawak with 173 cases, Pulau Pinang with 132 cases and Johor with 135 cases.

The Ministry of Health has identified 10 new clusters today and half are workplace related. Below is the list of newly identified clusters:

A total of 60 clusters have recorded new cases today. The new Lintang Bayan Lepas cluster recorded the most with 26 new cases, followed by DTI Persiaran Wawasan cluster with 26 cases and Teknologi Emas cluster with 24 cases.
