Apart from smartphones, Huawei has been offering a wide range of AMD and Intel based laptops for the Malaysian market. If you’re looking for a desktop computer, the Huawei MateStation S will go on sale very soon in Malaysia. This is the first desktop computer from Huawei Malaysia.
The MateStation S features a slim tower that stands at 9cm wide and 29cm tall. It is bundled with a 23.8″ Huawei AD80 FullView monitor which boasts 90% screen-to-body ratio. From the looks of it, the monitor uses an IPS panel that pushes Full HD resolution at 60Hz.
The computer itself is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 4600G processor with integrated Radeon graphics. According to the product page, the MateStation S will come with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. In terms of expandability, it has 2x SO-DIMM and 2x M.2 slots.
In terms of ports, the tower offers 2x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), 2x USB-A (USB 2.0), 1x RJ45 LAN port, 1x serial port, 1x VGA port, 1x HDMI port and audio ports at the rear. Over at the front, there’s no optical drive and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, 1x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2) port and 1x USB-C port. It also supports 5GHz 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.
The computer also comes with a Huawei Ultra-Slim wired keyboard which uses 2.5mm-travel scissor-switches. For instant unlocking, the power button on the keyboard even comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. If you own a compatible Huawei smartphone, it also support multi-screen collaboration with a single tap. Out of the box, it runs on Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
Huawei Malaysia hasn’t revealed its official availability dates just yet but we reckon it could be launched by the end of March 2021. The Huawei MateStation S is already listed on the official online store with a single Space Grey option.
