The iPhone-lookalike Oppo Find X3 series has been leaked with pictures and camera specs

The Oppo Find X3 series has already been leaked in recent weeks, but a new set of leaked “official” images now give us a more complete idea of how the company’s flagship smartphone series will look like. As usual, Evan Blass is the source of these images, and it’s worth remembering that Blass has also been the source of mostly accurate pre-launch information for a multitude of mobile devices in the past.

As such, this might just be the clearest look we’ve had at the three devices that are expected to launch: the Find X3 Pro, Find X3 Neo, and Find X3 Lite. Have a glance at the Find X3 Pro, the flagship offering within the series:

As we’ve previously covered, the range-topping Find X3 Pro has a rather familiar-looking camera bump, which looks very similar to the recently-launched iPhone 12 Pro Max. This isn’t a great surprise, and it is certainly not the first time that Apple’s designs have… inspired aesthetic choices made by competing brands.

In a way, this does go against the initial proposition that the Find X series brought to the table. The first Oppo Find X used a unique motorised sliding module for the camera, and at the time, it was one of the most interesting smartphones around. However, with the Find X3 series, Oppo is going for a more conventional look.

Specs

As previously discussed, the range-topping Oppo Find X3 Pro will reportedly come with a Snapdragon 888 under the hood, while the camera design is called the “crater” design. Evan Blass says that this is supposed to be a “significant technical achievement”, because it has “relatively low yields”.

For the cameras, Blass says that the module will consist of a pair of 50MP Sony IMX766 sensors for the main and ultra-wide cameras, while there will also be a 3MP macro lens with 25X zoom. This will allow it to be used as an on-device “microscope”, he promises. Finally, the fourth camera will be a 13MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom—the same one from the Find X2 from 2020.

Meanwhile, the Find X3 Lite is essentially a rebadged Oppo Reno 5, although it will be available in separate markets. There aren’t any differences between the two besides the “Reno Glow” branding on the back of the Reno 5, with the Find X3 Lite featuring a regular Oppo logo on the back instead. Here are a couple of images (via Evan Blass):

Blass promises more information on the Find X3 Neo soon, and the leakster also says that the entire Oppo Find X3 series will launch sometime in March 2021. As always remember to bookmark SoyaCincau.com for the latest coverage on that. So, what do you think? Do you fancy the Oppo Find X3 series’ “new” look? Or would you have preferred another unique, motorised design? Let us know in the comments section below.
