Acerpure Cool 2-in-1 air purifier has arrived in Malaysia, available from RM899

Acer is primarily known for its laptop and desktop computers. Now, the Taiwanese device maker has expanded its product range to include air purifiers. The company officially announced the availability of its new Acerpure Cool air purifier in Malaysia.

The Acerpure Cool adopts a simple but modern design with an intuitive LED touch panel and child safety locks. It is equipped with a PM1.0 air quality sensor that enables it to monitor the air quality in real-time. Acer said the reading is displayed via 3 LED indicator lights that are green, yellow and red.

In terms of colour options, the Acerpure Cool is available either in black or white.

Under air purifier mode, the device automatically adjusts its operation to ensure better purification of the room when poor air quality is detected. The Acerpure Cool is also said to release negative ions that help remove harmful gases in the air such as formaldehyde. Acer adds that the device also captures solid particles such as dust (PM2.5), improving indoor air quality.

In addition, there is a silent mode that lets the air purifier operate as quiet as 26dB, allowing it to purify and circulate fresh air discreetly.

Apart from that, the air purifier has a swing mode that allows it to swivel 90º up-down swing and 80º left-right oscillation. Acer claims the device can project clear air up to 16m with full air circulation in a room that measures 27 square metres in just three minutes.

The 2-in-1 air circulator and purifier comes equipped with a 3-in-1 HEPA filter, and it is paired with Ag+ Silver Coated Filter that’s meant to purify and cool the air in the room at the same time. This should prove useful given the fact that most Malaysians are now staying indoor for longer periods of time.

According to Acer, the 3-in-1 HEPA filter that consists of a pre-filter, activated carbon filter and HEPA 13 main filter. These filters work to remove fine particles and impurities in the air such as pet hair, dander and dust. Acer claims the device can remove 99.97% of 0.3μm suspended particles and bacteria in the air. It also is said to isolate harmful gases and removes odours.

Meanwhile, the Ag+ Silver Coated Filter has undergone extensive third-party laboratory testing to certify its efficacy in eliminating bacteria and effectiveness against the viruses like H1N1.
