Malaysia has recorded 5,298 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 214,959. There are 14 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 760.
The Ministry of Health has reported 4,522 new recoveries and a total of 166,049 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 77.3% while the mortality rate is 0.35%.
There are currently 48,150 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 313 are in ICU while 127 require respiratory support.
Out of the 5,298 new COVID-19 cases today, 3 are imported while 5,295 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 2,460 cases, followed by Johor with 1,020 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 783 cases.
The Ministry of Health has identified 10 new clusters today and 7 of them are workplace related. Below is the full list:
A total of 83 active clusters have recorded new COVID-19 cases today. The Jalan Vista construction site cluster recorded the most with 222 cases, followed by Jalan Chulan construction site cluster with 151 cases and Jalan Kewajipan cluster with 125 cases.
