X7 Pro: Realme’s new 5G flagship has arrived in Malaysia, priced under RM2,000

Realme Malaysia has officially announced its new X7 Pro in Malaysia, it’s first 5G flagship phone for 2021. It features an AMOLED display with high refresh-rate, a flagship-class MediaTek processor and a generous 256GB of storage priced for less than RM2,000.

Pricing and availability

The Realme X7 Pro 5G is officially priced at RM1,999 in Malaysia and you can get it with a RM50 discount during its first day sale that’s happening on the 2nd February 2021. The first day sale is taking place exclusively on the official Realme store on Shopee from 12am.

The device is offered in a single variant with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage that’s non-expandable. It comes in two colour options – Skyline white and Iridescent.

Hardware Specs

The X7 Pro features a 6.55″ Super AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. The screen boasts a high refresh-rate of 120Hz and a high 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also uses Gorilla Glass 5 and there’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor for instant unlocking. The Realme X7 Pro runs on a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset and it supports both WiFi 6 and 5G networks.

The device gets a quad-camera setup at the rear that consists of a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP portrait lens. Upfront, the tiny punch-hole on the top left corner houses a 32MP selfie camera.

For a more immersive audio experience, it comes with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos enhancement. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack but Realme has included a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle.

Powering the X7 Pro is a large 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W SuperDart Charge via USB-C. Realme claims that you can get a full charge in just 35 minutes and a quick 3-minute charge is enough to provide 55-minutes of gaming.
