Classes are back in session—but instead of having lessons in classrooms, students are turning to online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, official text books are also shared online. Luckily, you can access them for free from the Ministry of Education (KPM), or through Google Drive on pandai.org.
The prime source to get your textbooks is through KPM, but you’d need to register and log into the site first before being able to access the online books. You can access the site on your desktop, on iOS, or on Android.
On pandai.org, you can access the official text books without signing in or registering. According to the site, they aim to “make it easier for students to have access to these books” by listing them in order following the Standard or Form. You can access them below, as well.
Pandai.org claims that they’ve retrieved the files through KPM’s official site. Their only difference is that they have neatly presented it for users so that it’s easily accessible. They also encourage students to use and download the Pandai app (iOS, Android) to help them make revisions on the subjects they’re learning.
“Congratulations and thank you to the Education Ministry, which has provided the text books in digital format, which makes it easier for students to access them, whether on mobile phones, laptops or desktop computers,” said pandai.org.
Currently, schools are still closed for all students except for those taking SPM, SVM, STPM, STAM and DVM exams. Private kindergartens that are registered with the Education Ministry are also allowed to open.
To help with online learning, SPM and STPM students are offered a special prepaid data plan where they can get 15GB of data for RM20/month. The PM has announced that the offer will be extended to university and college students.
