Realme X7 Pro with 5G is coming to Malaysia next week

Realme Malaysia is kicking off 2021 with a brand new flagship 5G smartphone, the Realme X7 Pro. This comes right after the introduction of the Realme 7 5G in Malaysia last month which was launched for RM1,299.

The official Realme X7 Pro launch event is happening online at 12pm on the 26th January 2021. You can watch it via the official Realme Facebook page.

The Realme X7 Pro is currently available in China with a retail price of CNY 2,299 (about RM1,436) for the 128GB model and CNY 2,599 (about RM1,623) for the 256GB version. From the specs, it looks similar to the Oppo Reno 5 Pro but it has a couple of differences.

The device features a 6.55″ Full HD+ AMOLED display which offers a high 120Hz refresh rate along with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. Under the hood, it runs on a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ that’s configured with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

In the camera department, the rear gets a quad-camera setup which features a 64MP main camera (Sony IMX686) and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. There are also two additional 2MP cameras for depth and macro shots. For selfies, the device has a punch-hole on the top left corner which houses a single 32MP front camera.

For a more immersive audio experience, the device offers stereo dual speakers with Dolby enhancement and hi-Res Audio certification. Being a 2021 5G device, it supports both SA and NSA networks when it’s available in Malaysia sometime in 2022 or 2023. On top of that, the X7 Pro also supports faster 802.11ax WiFi 6.

Powering the device is a generous 4,500mAh battery and it supports 65W fast charging via USB-C. According to Realme, you can get a full charge in just 35 minutes. Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack but a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle is provided. Out of the box, it runs on Realme UI with Android 10 skin on top.
