[UPDATE] Mac City Warehouse Clearance: Ex-Demo MacBook Air and Pro going for as low as RM999

[ UPDATE 19/01/2021 19:00 ]: Mac City has updated that the Warehouse Clearance sale at its 1 Utama outlet has been cancelled. They will be moving the sale online to prioritise the health and safety of their staff and the public.

Authorised Apple Reseller Mac City is having a Warehouse clearance sale for selected Apple products. It’s taking place at its 1 Utama outlet located at Lot S309-S310 on the 2nd floor. They are offering mostly ex-demo units for the iPhone, iMac, iPad and MacBooks with limited units available.

The clearance sale will be running in two phases. For Onecard members, it will be open from 20th until 31st Jan 2021. The sale will be open to the rest of the public from 1st to 28th February 2021.

Ex-demo MacBook and iMac

Some of the notable deals include a MacBook Air (64GB) and MacBook Pro 13.3 (320GB HDD) that are going for as low as RM999. Looking at the specs, these appear to be very old models.

Ex-demo iPhone and iPad

In the iPhone corner, they are offering the iPhone 7 32GB and iPhone 6s Plus 32GB for less than RM500. Meanwhile, the iPhone X 64GB is going for RM1,199 while the iPhone 8 Plus 64GB is offered for RM999.

If you’re looking for a cheap iPad, they are offering a 2018 iPad with 32GB WiFi for RM849 and an iPad 2019 32GB WiFi for RM999. The latest iPad Pro 2020 is also available from RM3,099.

Ex-Demo accessories

Opened Box – iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Beats

Do note that there’s no warranty coverage for the ex-demo and opened box items. According to the fine print, the open box units are returned items that are often unused. It added that the devices are tested by Mac City technicians and repaired if necessary to ensure that it meets the same quality standards required for brand new product.

In case you’re wondering, Mac City outlets are still operating during the MCO but with shorter operating hours. The 1 Utama outlet will be open from 10am to 8pm daily. You’re advised to adhere to the SOP which include wearing face mask and ensuring social distancing.
