Probably the biggest addition to the new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the support for the S Pen. Unlike the Galaxy Note series, the S Pen stylus is offered as an optional accessory and you’ll need a separate case to keep it.
For our local market, the S Pen for the Galaxy S21 Ultra is officially priced at RM189. Since you would definitely need a case to hold it, Samsung is also offering casing + S Pen bundles. The Silicone Cover combo is priced at RM289 while the Smart Clear View Cover version is priced at RM369.
At the time of writing, only the Smart Clear View Cover with S Pen is available on Samsung Malaysia’s online store. As part of the pre-order Purchase-with-purchase promo, you can get 25% off, which means that the Clear View Cover and stylus combo can be yours for RM276.75.
If you just want to buy the S Pen standalone, we are told by Samsung Malaysia that it will be available starting in February 2021. For those that prefer the more advanced S Pen Pro that supports Bluetooth connectivity and air gestures, Samsung says it will be released at a later date.
Do note that Samsung no longer includes a power adapter in the box similar to Apple and Xiaomi. The original Samsung 25W USB-C Power Adapter is going for RM79 in Malaysia. Alternatively, you can find third-party USB-C PD chargers with multiple-ports for less than RM100.
To recap, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with 256GB storage is officially priced at RM5,299 while the 512GB version is going for RM5,899. If you’re planning to get one from the official online store, you can get an additional Samsung ANC Type-C Earphones (worth RM299) for free when you checkout using the promo code SCS21VIP. The pre-order is currently running from 15th until 28th January 2021.
