Deal: Ugreen’s tiny 65W USB-C GaN charger can be yours for RM92

If you’re looking for a small and compact charger for your USB-C devices, the Ugreen 65W GaN Charger is something you should highly consider. Not only it’s small in size, it features two USB-C ports that allows you to charge both your smartphone and laptop simultaneously.

The charger is currently offered for RM99.99 on the official Ugreen store on Lazada and Shopee. If you use the Shopee and Lazada mobile app, you can redeem the 8% off voucher which brings the price down to RM91.99. That’s cheaper than Apple’s single-port 20W charger.

This particular Ugreen GaN charger uses a UK-standard 3-pin plug which makes it more convenient for Malaysian users. In terms of size, it’s slightly taller than the original Apple 20W USB-C Power adapter.

The charger uses USB Power Delivery standard which enables fast charging for most smartphones and tablets from Apple and Samsung. The first port pushes a maximum of 18W while the secondary port maxes out at 65W. With the 65W max output, it can charge most USB-C laptops including the Huawei Matebook, Honor MagicBook and even the Apple MacBook Pro 13.

When both ports are in use, you’ll get 18W from the first port and 45W from the second port. It is recommended to charge only from the second USB-C port to maximise your laptop’s charging potential.

The compact size is made possible with Galium Nitrade which is a more effective semiconductor compared to silicon. While it’s significantly smaller than your regular USB-C laptop charger, it still weighs a hefty 145g.

Ugreen has been selling other types of GaN chargers but this particular version is quite hard to find. If you’re interested, just head to the official online store on Lazada and Shopee.

For those who still need to charge with a USB-A cable, another GaN charger with a UK plug worth checking out is the ProLink 65W 3-port charger. Priced at RM119, it has 1x USB-A and 2x USB-C ports. The extra USB-A port supports Quick Charge 3.0 and has a maximum output of 30W.
