To get pumped for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, you might want to treat yourselves to something Ox-themed. And if you’re already thinking of getting yourselves the Apple AirPods Pro at some point, why not a limited-edition AirPods Pro with an Ox engraved on the charging case?
Apple has introduced the CNY-themed AirPods Pro in several Asian countries—including mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia. And the price—RM1,099—is the same price for the regular AirPods Pro.
The design of the engraved Ox is basically the classic cow emoji. But it also has a a smaller cow emoji popping out of its head, with stars floating around it. The box for the special AirPods Pro even includes the same unique design on the side—but in red.
Granted, if you’re not into the Ox design, you can always get your own “design” engraved on the AirPods case for free. You can engrave a mix of emoji, text, and numbers—which has always been a thing before.
You can get yourselves a pair of these limited-edition AirPods Pro here. However, Apple also has a two-units-per-order limit. Apple also provides a page for recommending Chinese New Year-themed gifts—like the red iPhone 12, red and orange phone cases, and red Apple Watch bands.
But if you’re willing to wait a lot longer, there’s a rumour that the next-gen AirPods Pro might come in two sizes. Apple could also be working on a way to eliminate the “stem” of the AirPods—but we’ll just have to wait and see.
