The 25th James Bond film No Time to Die was supposed to premier on April 2020 but it has been pushed back an entire year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To pass the time waiting for the latest film, why not revisit the classics? According to a report by Slashfilm, YouTube has officially made available 21 James Bond movies to stream online free of charge.
Sounds too good to be true? Well, the only catch is this offer is exclusive to viewers in the US, though you can still watch the movies by using a VPN service. The films can be found in the “Free to Watch” section of YouTube.
In case you were wondering, the collection spans over 37 years, starting from the late Sean Connery’s first appearance in the 1962 film Dr. No right until Pierce Brosnan’s outing as 007 in 1999’s The World is Not Enough. The collection also includes films starring other actors who have portrayed Bond including Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby.
Connery, possibly the most notable Bond, appeared as the titular James Bond in seven films. They include the earlier mentioned Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever. Even Connery’s final outing as Bond in Never Say Never Again is available to stream.
As expected, the later Bond films like Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre that star Daniel Craig are not available to stream. So you will have to look to other means to catch those instalments of the Bond franchise.
It is however not clear how long these films will be free to stream on YouTube. Perhaps it’s to help generate some buzz for the newer films or it could be a tribute to Connery given his recent death. Either way, this is the perfect opportunity to look back at the
