COVID-19: 1,075 cases and 11 deaths today, Selangor records the most with 459 new cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,075 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 69,095. There are 11 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 376.

The Ministry of Health has reported 948 new recoveries and a total of 57,917 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 83.8% while the mortality rate is now 0.5%.



There are currently 10,082 active COVID-19 cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 116 patients are in ICU while 46 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,075 new COVID-19 cases today, 3 are imported while 1,072 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 459 new cases, followed by Sabah with 310 cases, Johor with 78 cases, Negeri Sembilan with 52 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 49 new cases.



The Ministry of Health has identified 4 new clusters today. This include Jalan Kilang cluster (Lahad Datu), Perdana Enam cluster (Lahad Datu) and Jalan Kubota cluster (Tawau) in Sabah as well as Monsoon cluster (Petaling) in Selangor.

A total of 43 active clusters have recorded new cases today. The Usaha cluster recorded the most with 84 cases, followed by Kaya cluster with 74 cases and Hentian cluster with 60 cases.
