If you’re looking for an affordable new iPhone, Apple retailers in Malaysia are offering additional RM200 off for the iPhone XR. If the iPhone XR with 64GB storage isn’t enough, authorised retailers Switch and Machines are also offering a RM200 price cut for the 128GB model.
After the introduction of the iPhone 12, the iPhone XR has recently received a massive RM500 price cut. With this promo, the 64GB model is now going for RM2,199 (RRP: RM2,399), while the 128GB version is now going for RM2,399 (RRP: RM2,599). Essentially, you’re getting double the storage at the original RRP price of the 64GB model.
Just like the recent 64GB promo, the promo device for the 128GB model is only offered in Black and it doesn’t come with a power adapter and EarPods included.
If you’re interested, the iPhone XR 128GB offer is available from Switch’s online store. The same RM2,399 promo is also available on Machines and it’s also offered on Lazada and Shopee.
To recap, the iPhone XR gets a 6.1″ Liquid Retina HD display and it runs on an Apple A12 Bionic Chip. It features a single 12MP main camera at the rear capable of shooting 4K videos while the front gets 7MP TrueDepth front camera that’s also used for Face ID.
Despite being a “budget” iPhone, you still get 18W fast-wired charging support, Qi wireless charging, IP67 rated dust and water resistance and also stereo speakers. Take note that the phone comes with a USB-C to lightning able and you’ll need to use a compatible 18W USB-PD charger for fast wired charging.
Need more power without breaking the bank? The 2nd gen iPhone SE is still available and it’s going for RM1,999 for the 64GB model, RM2,199 for 128GB and RM2,699 for 256GB. It runs on the same Apple A13 Bionic chip as the iPhone 11 Pro Max but it comes with a smaller 4.7″ screen and a smaller 1,821mAh battery.
