Malaysia has recorded 957 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 32,505. There are no new deaths reported today and the death toll remains at 249.
The Ministry of Health has reported 972 new recoveries and a total of 22,220 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 68.4% while the mortality rate is now 0.76%.
There are currently 10,036 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 97 are in ICU while 27 require respiratory support.
All 957 new cases reported today are transmitted locally. Sabah recorded the most with 644 cases, followed by Selangor with 225 cases, Penang with 23 cases and Labuan with 18 cases.
The Ministry of Health has identified 2 new clusters today. This include Usaha cluster which covers Klang and Petaling districts in Selangor, and Tembaga cluster in Pulau Pinang.
A total of 33 active COVID-19 clusters have recorded new cases today. The Hentian cluster which covers the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan has added the most with 90 new cases, followed by Bah Maggis cluster with 33 cases, while Basung cluster in Sabah has 23 new cases.
