CMCO in Klang Valley extended for another 14 more days

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced another 2-week extension for the current Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya. The current CMCO was supposed to end on the 27th of October is now extended until the 9th of November.

The extension was announced during a live National Security Council briefing conducted this evening. According to the Minister, there are still high risk areas in the Klang Valley. Based on the risk assessment, it is decided that an extension of the CMCO is required to contain the spread of COVID-19.

During the CMCO, interdistrict travel is not allowed unless it is for official duties. Employees that are permitted to work on-site must produce an authorisation letter from their employers if they need to travel interdistrict.

There’s also a 2 people per vehicle rule for households that need to travel out to buy essentials. However, those running a family businesses can obtain police permission in order to carry more passengers.

Apart from the Klang Valley, the government has also announced CMCO for Nilai in Negeri Sembilan which will take effect from 28th October until 10th November 2020.


Meanwhile, the TEMCO for Taman Khazanah Indah, Mutiara Kasih apartments, Felda Umas in Lahad Datu Sabah has been extended until 9th November 2020. The government has also announced TEMCO for Taman Mawar in Sandakan, Sabah and Putra Point, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan from 28th October until 10th November 2020.
