[UPDATED] Air Selangor announces water disruption from 9.00pm tonight due to burst pipe

[ UPDATE 18/10/2020 18:30 ]: Air Selangor has revealed that full water supply restoration is expected to be completed by Tuesday. 241 areas are scheduled to regain full supply at 2pm on 19th October, while the remaining 445 areas will be fully recovered by 2pm on 20th October.

[ UPDATE 18/10/2020 11:00 ]: Air Selangor has updated that repair works for the broken pipe has been completed at 8.00am today. The Sungai Selangor water treatment plant phase 1 (LRA SSP1) is now fully operational and water supply is being restored to the 686 affected areas in stages from 2.00pm today.

Air Selangor has also increased supply from other water treatment plans to minimise the impact of the water disruption. In the meantime, the water works company has also mobilised 84 water tank trucks to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and affected residential areas. Those who are currently out of water can get water supply at the public taps as listed below:

Air Selangor has announced a water disruption that will start from 9.00pm this evening (17th October) which will affect 686 areas in the Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Selangor districts.

According to Air Selangor, the Sungai Selangor water treatment plant phase 1 (LRA SSP1) had to be shutdown partially for repair works following a burst pipe that supplies treated water. Repair works are expected to be completed at 8.00am tomorrow, 18th October 2020. The water treatment plant will resume operations at 2.00pm with water supply being restored in stages.

All affected residents are advised to keep sufficient water supply at home and to use their supply sparingly. Below is the list of areas affected:
