Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 12 series this week and it appears to be coming to Malaysia soon. Maxis has dropped what appears to be a teaser for the iPhone 12 and it hinted that official pre-order is coming soon.
Without mentioning specifics, the green telco has posted a parody video of the iPhone 12 titled “12 – Speed has arrived” on their YouTube channel. The video shows “Jim Book” explaining what the new “12” is all about.
The teaser hinted 4 sizes for the new devices which include the smaller 12 Mini, 12, 12 Max and 12 MoreMax variants. The new 12 is also said to come in a dazzling array of new colours.
As speculated previously, the video also mentions that the charger and headphones are not included in the box. It also hinted several expected iPhone 12 features including water resistance and face ID, as well as LiDAR scanner and night mode for its cameras.
With Maxis teasing this early, this could be an indication that Malaysians could probably be able to pre-order the iPhone 12 very soon. The previous iPhone 11 was the fastest rollout yet as the devices were released in Malaysia just a week after first wave countries such as the US, UK, Australia and Singapore. Since the launch is happening on the 14th October, we expect pre-orders to start in first wave countries on the 16th October with first sale happening on the 23rd October.
If Apple continues the trend, the new iPhone models might arrive in our market in the last week of October. All shall be revealed soon and you can watch the Apple keynote live at 1am this Wednesday.
