Huawei MatePad T10s: 10.1″ tablet with stereo speakers priced below RM1,000

Apart from the Huawei FreeBuds Pro and Watch GT 2 Pro, Huawei Malaysia is also introducing the MatePad T10s during the upcoming 10.10 sale. This is a 10.1″ tablet which appears to be an upgraded version of the MatePad T10.

Pricing and availability

The Huawei MatePad T10s is officially priced at RM999 in Malaysia and it comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It’s available in Deep Sea Blue and it’s currently listed on the Huawei official store. During the 10.10 sale, Huawei is bundling a Free MatePad T10s flip cover while stocks last. You can purchase it starting 10.08am on 10th October.

Hardware Specs

The MatePad T10s features 10.1″ IPS display that pushes a 1920×1200 pixels resolution which is a significant upgrade to the RM799 MatePad T10. It runs on the same Kirin 710A processor that’s paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card.

The device gets a dual-speaker system tuned by Harman Kardon and it also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. For taking pictures or video calls, the tablet has a 5MP main camera and a 2MP front facing unit.

Powering the tablet is a 5,100mAh battery but there’s no mention if it supports fast charging. Out of the box, it runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 skin on top. However, do note that the device doesn’t come with Google Mobile Services and you’ll can discover apps via the Huawei AppGallery.

If you need a tablet with your favourite Google apps and services, Samsung Malaysia has recently unveiled its Galaxy Tab A7 which is also priced at RM999. It has a 10.4″ Full HD+ display and a quad-speaker speaker setup.
