The Realme 7 and 7 Pro have finally arrived in Malaysia just months after the Realme 6 series was introduced in our market. These are Realme’s latest mid-range smartphones and the top-spec variant now runs on a Snapdragon 720G.
Below are the official pricing for the Realme 7 series in Malaysia:
Realme 7 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,299
Realme 7 Pro 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,499
The Realme 7 is available in Mist White and Mist Blue, while the Pro version comes in Mirror Silver and Mirror Blue. Both devices will be available for pre-order starting today, 24th September.
The Realme 7 be available at all authorised dealers from 26th September 2020 and pre-order customers will get a free neck massager.
Meanwhile the Realme 7 Pro will be available officially starting 29th September on the Shopee online store and at offline dealers from the 3rd October 2020. For those that pre-order the 7 Pro from 24th September to 2nd October at Realme stores and authorised dealers, you’ll get a Realme Buds Q White Edition for free. If you buy it during the first online sale on the 29th of September, they are giving away a free Realme Watch.
The Realme 7 is the more affordable of the two and it comes with a 6.5″ Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device runs on a MediaTek Helio G95 processor with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. If you need more storage, it comes with a dedicated microSD card slot.
The device has a quad-camera setup featuring a 64MP f/1/.8 main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP portrait lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it gets a 16MP camera that sits in a punch-hole. For instant unlock, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that doubles up as a power button.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery which is bigger than the previous Realme 6 (4,300mAh). It also gets a 30W Dart Charge fast charging via USB-C. According to Realme, you can get 50% charge in 26 minutes. You can find out the full details on the official website.
The Realme 7 Pro is the higher-spec option which comes with a 6.4″ Super AMOLED Full HD+ display. Unlike its predecessor that has a 90Hz display, the new Pro device gets a traditional 60Hz refresh rate and it also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 720G processor with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage that’s expandable via microSD.
In terms of cameras, it is similar to the standard Realme 7. It has a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and two 2MP cameras for depth sensing and macro. However, the punch-hole selfie camera features a higher resolution 32MP camera. The device also features dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos enhancement.
Powering the device is a smaller 4,500mAh battery but it supports a faster 65W SuperDart charge via USB-C. A full charge from zero takes 34 minutes. To learn more, you can check out the official product page.
