The ROG Phone 3 has finally arrived in Malaysia and it boasts insane hardware specs including a display with a higher 144Hz refresh rate. The gaming phone from Asus is now available for purchase in Malaysia with a starting price of RM2,999.
In Malaysia, the device comes in three variants. Below is the official pricing:
STRIX Edition SD 865, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM2,999
SD 865+, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage – RM3,799
SD 865+, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage – RM4,499
All variants are now available at Asus and ROG concept stores, Lazada, Shopee. You can also get it on telco contract with Maxis.
Asus Malaysia is also providing a free bundle worth RM399 which includes the AeroActive Cooler 3 and Aerocase. The device comes with 1-year Asus Malaysia warranty as standard.

The ROG Phone 3 features a 6.59″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 144Hz refresh rate. The Strix Edition runs on a Snapdragon 865 processor while the other two higher variants run on a Snapdragon 865+. It comes up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The device retains front-facing stereo speakers but it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. For taking pictures, it has a triple-camera setup at the rear that consists of a 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 5MP macro camera. Meanwhile, the front gets a 24MP selfie shooter.
Since this is a gaming device, you also get AirTriggers on the sides which supports sliding, swiping as well as the ability to split each button in two partitions for tapping. The rear also features an ROG logo with RGB illumination.
To connect your own pair of wired headphones, you can attach the AeroActive Cooler 3 which provides a pass-through USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Keeping the lights on is a huge 6,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. It supports both USB-PD and QC4.0 charging standards.
