Technogym Bike: The innovative way to join indoor cycling classes by top celebrity trainers, from the comfort of your home

This post is brought to you by Technogym.

During the Movement Control Order, Malaysians have had to find new ways to keep fit. Even now, with restrictions partially lifted, social distancing measures are still in place to prevent a second COVID-19 wave. Working out at home, however, has several limitations—for example, what do you do if you don’t have access to your personal trainer or your favorite spinning classes?

The Technogym Bike might just fill that niche, with access to indoor cycling classes run by trainers from all over the world available from the comfort of your home. In fact, music and lights that accompany the classes are carefully selected to create  the most “engaging fitness experience” at home.

The need for a spin-from-home option is slowly becoming a necessity for ardent fans of indoor cycling, as a result of  the COVID-19 pandemic, with spaces in group indoor classes often limited—especially during peak hours. Additionally, social distancing measures being put in place have also resulted in added difficulties when booking/attending indoor spin classes.

The Technogym Live platform, an on-demand library with English, Italian, Spanish, and French options, will allow for a personalised training experience that looks to emulate a real-life spin class at home. More language options are being developed to cater to the global demand. Users will also be able to choose classes run by their favourite trainer, and integrated handlebars and video content ensure a “total body workout experience”.

There are also  live classes from trainers which you can experience through the built-in 22” Full HD touchscreen, along with the Technogym community of riders and trainers to offer real-time support. Basically, the idea here is to bring indoor cycling classes from world class trainers to you and your Technogym Bike—without losing that energy that you get from a live spin class. You can either rely on the two integrated speakers, use the 3.5mm for wired headphones, or even use Bluetooth wireless headphones with the Technogym Bike.

The Technogym Bike has been designed with over three decades of biomechanical research behind it, along with feedback from Olympic athletes. The spinning bike even adapts to your body almost instantly, which means that pedalling is quiet and fluid. The Poly-V Belt, made with Kevlar cords, maintains this silence while offering an “authentic” road feel, and there are also four easy-access adjustments that you can make to get the right balance between handlebars and saddle height.

To ensure a consistent and smooth ride, the flywheel resistance system uses neodymium magnets, with intuitive graphics and tactile clicks when making adjustments between 20 resistance levels.

Now, a big part of workout routines such as spinning has always been the competition. On the Technogym Live platform, users have the option to compare times and statistics against a leaderboard, along with the ability to track your performance via several metrics. These include your power cadence, resistance, speed, and heart rate after each session, so you’ll be able to track your daily progress.

Sound good? As a special introductory price, the Technogym Bike is available for RM19,998 with 1 year subscription included.  A pair of 1.5kg bike weights are also included with your purchase. The Technogym Bike is available to buy outright, or via credit card installment (selected bank).

If you prefer, you can also try out the Technogym Bike at the free trial being offered at Technogym’s showroom from the 18th of September to the 27th of September 2020. Customers will be given a free 1-hour workout session on a Technogym bike, with three available slots per day: 10am, 2pm, and 4pm. The trial will run for 10 days, with 30 slots available in total.
