Here’s an early look at GoPro’s next action camera and it will make vlogging and selfies a lot easier. What you’re looking at is the new GoPro Hero 9 Black which has been revealed by reliable leakster Roland Quandt.
More than year after the DJI Osmo Action was released, the folks at GoPro is following their footsteps by including a larger front-facing colour display. This makes it easier to frame the shot and it looks much studier than attaching a Display Mod on the current GoPro Hero 8.
The overall exterior looks similar to the current GoPros and it still retains a touch screen at the rear. There are no details on the actual hardware specs but it is speculated to support 5K video recording sometime in the future. As a comparison, the current GoPro Hero 8 Black can record videos up to 4K 60fps and capture 12MP stills.
The new GoPro Hero 9 Black also comes with a bunch of new accessories and one of it is appears to be a thick hard case that should provide better shock resistance than a typical enclosure. There are no pricing and availability details yet but it looks like the launch is just right around the corner.
